1812 - Opening Scene: Russian Hymn

Description

The finished opening scene to my animation in progress, 1812. The animation is based on Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture which tells the story of Napoleon's failed attempt to invade Russia in the respective year.

This opening scene is loosely inspired by the opening scene from The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EibUdcby8dY ) and includes the Russian hymn: Troparion of the Holy Cross. I created the flag and text on Adobe Photoshop and animated it using Adobe After Effects tanks to a few tutorials you can also find on my blog at joeldavidmurray.wordpress.com.
