Description
Though never documented as a national ‘hit record,’ this delightful nostalgic trip is quite familiar to many doo-wop aficionados. Co-written by Frank Zappa (pre-'Mothers'), the lyrics refer to the past dances organized by Art Laboe and held at the El Monte Legion Stadium in El Monte, California. Heard here were original Penguins lead singer Cleve Duncan, new Penguins member Walter Saulsberry, and backup group The Viceroys.
