Ripped from the official Scenes From The Big Chair DVD and the Seeds Of Love Super Deluxe edition.

I always loved "Year Of the Knife" in its album version, but when I got the Super Deluxe edition a few years ago, I discovered the Canadian Single version which featured a different mix, some alternate vocals, drums and guitars in it, as well as different arrangements in some parts, and I must say I also love this version !
True it's not as polished as the album version but there are some stuff in this version I actually prefer over the album version, so I decided I would do a mix of both versions !

You will hear the differences in the video, it's a sort of "remix" (or more exactly a re-edit of the song) in which I keep the exact same length as the album version but also change a few details here and there to make it a bit more unpredictable and varied.

I did this "remix" by taking the songs from the CD's of the Deluxe edition, made stems of both songs via RipX, then edited them on Premiere Pro (yes I'm a video editor most and foremost).
For the video side of it, I extracted the live performance in Santa Barbara 1990 from the "Scenes from the Big chair" DVD release in 480p 60fps, then did an AI upscaling of it on Topaz (which isn't great but the original video wasn't great to begin with), then I worked this version on Premiere Pro and edited it so I could sync it to my remixed version of the studio song.

I had to slow down the video track to sync it, and make lots of cuts to the actual video and splice some changes to make the video consistent with what is heard, so if you know the live performance by heart you will definitely see some changes.
