Abdel Halim Hafez (عبد الحليم حافظ) is one of the greatest artists the Arab world has produced. To this day Abdel Halim Hafez is the best-selling singer in his homeland Egypt and his music is in the DNA of every Arab musician. The Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra pays tribute to this 'Arabic James Dean' (one of Hafez's many nicknames) with a number of renowned musicians from classical and Arabic music. The Moroccan singer Youssef Jrifi interprets the work of Abdel Halim Hafez with precision, vocal refinement and above all: a lot of feeling!
