Carl Perkin's Blue Suede shoes set the Rockabilly Guitar world on fire in 1955. After digging really deep, I questioned whether there was any other way to play it with such an open ringy sound than to do it the way I've figured for this tutorial.

Carl influenced all the greats that came after him and with him, including his contemporaries like Scotty Moore, Eddie Cochan, Cliff Gallup and Duane Eddy, with later players like Danny Gatton, Brian Setzer and Darrel Higham all loving his style. If you're going to learn some rockabilly guitar, you've got to get some Carl Perkins' Licks down!
