Charles Kelley shared that Lady A plans to take time off to focus on family and embrace a “musical reset” after years of nonstop work. Reflecting on their 15th anniversary of Need You Now, Kelley said the group wants to return with something fresh and different but won’t rush the process. Their last album, What a Song Can Do, came out in 2021. While Lady A has many hits like “Just a Kiss” and “I Run to You,” Kelley believes fans will enjoy hearing their classics live and eventually discover new material. He emphasized taking inspiration from artists like Adele, who create anticipation before releasing new work. Meanwhile, Kelley is preparing to release his solo album, Songs for a New Moon, an ’80s pop-inspired project influenced by Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, Toto, and Michael McDonald. He described the record as celebrating creative freedom and offering a new perspective on life and music.
