After serving 16 years as Chancellor of Germany since 2005, in December 3, 2021, in Front of the German Chancellor's Office, Angela Merkel has decided to retire from the position. This is the German National Anthem "Deutschlandlied", which is played during Germany's highest military ceremony, as a sign of farewell and tribute (honors) to Angela Merkel. Although, she will still hold the post of Chancellor of Germany until the next Chancellor is appointed.
