As performed and recorded by The Original Delta Jets on the Chairfactory Blues (Bootleg) CD in 2005. The live recording was done, without any overdubs, at John Steuck’s Cottage Sounds Recording Studios onto 8-track tape.

From the liner notes:
“Believed to be Carl Rafferty‘s ‘Mr. Carl’s Blues’. Believed to be Robert Johnson’s ‘Dust My Broom’. Written by every Delta Bluesman alive! Elmore James’ and J B Hutto’s versions rule!”

The Magic Earl Tap … when the Delta Jets became a trio and after our gigs with friend, “Magic” Earl Kunzer, who’d always put a little ‘tap’ on the washboard at each diminuendo, David Will dubbed that the ‘Earl Tap’, following suit and adding that bit. It’s remained in the arrangement and become our reminder of our friend. Magic Earl passed away a few years back after leukemia took him. And again … R.I.P. Magic Earl … (“Elmore James got nothing on this baby”) ❤️🎶❤️
