On Friday 3 January 2020, all star band CANDY VOLCANO performed live at the "XPN FREE AT NOON" Concert Series at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia to kick off the city's PHILLY LOVES BOWIE WEEK.

Here is the opening number of the show, "ZIGGY STARDUST" by David Bowie, as performed by Candy Volcano and sung by ERIC13. Introduction by WXPN radio personality Helen Leicht. Video edited by Rob Sankey.

Candy Volcano is a New Jersey/Philly based band who pay tribute to the music of David Bowie and other glam era rocknroll. It's an all star backing band who typically perform 2 long sets of music, each song with a different lead singer. The band's first performance in 2012 was intended to be a one time affair, but demand has seen the band perform in increasingly high profile gigs over the last 8 years, into 2020 and beyond. Founded by guitarist & singer Kevin Monko, the band enjoys a tight personal relationship and revels in the fun, camp and pomp of each event. Their mantra: "Love on ya!"
