Turns out you can hear the drums, Fernando — and they sound amazing live. Along with the strings, vocals, and everything else that makes this rendition of Fernando by ABBA tribute band Bjorn Again (Australia) one to remember.

Filmed live at Melbourne’s iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl during the 2024 Moomba Festival — the very same stage ABBA played on back in 1977.

Here’s a little backstory for the ABBA fans out there: Fernando was written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, the song’s name was inspired by a bartender the band knew in Stockholm. When ABBA released it in 1976, it became one of their best-selling singles and held the record for the longest-running No. 1 in Australian chart history for over 40 years. It also earned ABBA their first international award: “Best Studio Recording of 1975.”
