‘I wrote Oh life, Oh Love when I didn’t know what I was doing with my life. Instead of writing a sad song, I wanted to write a powerful feel good song that almost motivated me to keep living through the waves and help me let go of the pressure to have it all figured out. I’ve always loved to sometimes hit harder on the vocals and artists like Aretha, Tori Kelly and Yebba have influenced how I use my voice so much. But I’ve always found it hard to write songs with vocals like this in mind. I often don’t feel every song needs it (and maybe I’m shy). But ‘Oh life, Oh Love’ felt like an opportunity for me to really play with the power of vocals in this way to add strength to the song and I’m so happy with out it sounds. It’s definitely a song that’s more out of my comfort zone, but that reflects the meaning and the story of the song perfectly so it all aligned.'
