All credit to the members of Duran Duran. In honor of DD Appreciation Day today, Aug 10, I wanted to do a Duran bass cover for educational purposes only. This video is made under the fair use portion of copyright statue as an educational video only.

I play bass because of John Taylor and Duran Duran, and his lines helped inspire me to become a musician... to take his bass lines and how they fit in their songs, almost as their own mini songs within the greater whole. He didn't just follow the roots or plunk along with quarter notes; he wove his own melody while still holding down the groove -- very cool and inspiring for me. He played a fretless on this, which I can't do, but this version works pretty well to show you how the main guts of the song is played.
