The newest focus track “Tractor Beam” is an experimental jaunt through the historical phases of video game history while Ran plays for love in the new colorful video developed by James Brooks and Rob Heath of Not Real Toys.

Not since his 2009 hit “Splash Woman” has Mega Ran explored the concept of love on a single, and once again he approaches the sensitive subject with his signature wit and charm, and with an upbeat, and hopeful demeanor.

“It’s actually the same BPM (beats per minute) as Splash Woman, which was a total coincidence, Ran says. “I’m not comfortable making love songs, so I try to make sure they’ve got fun angles, twists, and turns. Tractor Beam was the first song I wrote for this album, probably two years ago and the response has been amazing. I’m super proud of the song and the video.”

Live 95 hit the Billboard charts running like the 1996 Bulls, debuting as the #6 New Rap Album, putting Ran on the Emerging Artists Chart, and at no. 61 of the coveted Billboard 200.
