In these recent times, it's hard to look up in faith and even love, even for a believer in Christ. You think the hardships you go through will never end, the tragedy you're enduring is all you have, the mental disease/sickness is all there is, whatever battles you may face in this life will be all you have left. Literally like there is no hope. And you wonder, "where is God? If her's so big, why isn't he showing up in times like these?" I've asked myself these very same questions and I can already tell you this: as part of the human race, we look for obvious "signs" of God to show up, ways to know He's there. But no one has ever seen Him in His true form (look in the Bible it says it in there). God is LOVE. Not the "love", the feeling everyone likes to portray, the word everyone likes to throw around in relationships. He is God, the embodiment of love, His love is Holy, set apart from everything. His love is deep and profound, no love could match it. It can only be experienced. He shows up in the most unexpected ways at the most unexpected times. He knows when you need him and it may not be when you think you do, because he can see you all the time. (all day, all night, 365 days a year) He sees our thoughts, the darkest places of our hearts, and he goes with us into the darkest moments of our lives because He promises to never leave nor forsake us. He won't leave no matter how far you go into that darkness, because of His love for you, and He won't become dark either because in Him there is no darkness, He is only Light. You're never alone, and whenever You want to leave that pain, anger, malice, whatever darkness you're in, all you have to do is call on Him and He will pull you out.
