Another ace release by the late bamboo flute master Minoru Muraoka and his band the Life Theatres. This LP is part of the Shakuhachi Rock series and every bit as good as the others, maybe better... No strings or orchestra here, only great session men getting together and recording in a top studio in Japan (which one I don't know though). Apart from the flute, you can expect funk and R&B drums, farfisa-like organ licks and killer guitar work. A truly beautiful LP that focuses on Ninkyo (Yakuza songs).
