I’m right there with you, I’m dusting off my boots and jumping back in.

I needed to put my country record Calico on the back burner back in 2019, when my little boy got sick with pneumonia (for the 4th time) and we rushed him to the ER on the exact day of the albums release. In my heart I knew I had to be all in on getting him healthy. Then the pandemic hit and it I was in the thick of motherhood 24/7 with my kiddos.

I don’t regret it AND it was hard to leave Calico behind. But I’ve come to believe that it’s about times and seasons. I didn’t know if or when I’d get to come back to the record.

Here we are in 2025 and life has brought me back to it in a heartbreakingly beautiful way after losing my mom and getting encouraging messages from her on the other side to get back to country music. My song got better and my kids aren’t in the tiny phase anymore and while the timing is never perfect, it feels right to put my boots on and get back out there.
