Album/Single/EP : Roky Erickson And The Aliens

The Aliens played with Roky Erickson in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
The members are: Duane Aslaksen, musical director and lead guitar, Bill Miller, electric autoharp,
Steve Morgan Burgess, bass, and Jeff Sutton drums, Fuzzy Furioso Oxendine, drums. This was the performing group. Other musicians contributed to the recordings "I Think of Demons" (1980), "The Evil One" (1981), and "Don't Slander Me" (1982). They were John Maxwell, bass, Jack Casady, bass, Johnny Christian, bass, Andrew Lewis, synthesizer, and Paul Zahl, drums. These musicians produced the signature sound on such classics as "Bloody Hammer," "Two Headed Dog," "Creature with the Atom Brain," "Cold Night for Alligators."

All of the original Aliens (performing band) live in Northern California with the exception of bass player Steve Morgan Burgess who is deceased. Guitarist Duane Aslaksen has since played with Marin County band the Crocodiles and Sonoma County band Schellville Southside Blues Band. He also played in the cumbia group Invasion with musicians from Oaxaca, Mexico (2006). He is currently playing (2007) in the Bay Area with Texas musician Powell St. John.
Fellow Alien Bill Miller also plays with Powell.
