A pumping or capstan shanty, Fire Down Below has been referred to as one of the last shanties, being sung as late as 1929 on a British squarerigger. But The Jolly Rogers are fairly certain that this tells the story of why pirates stopped allowing smoking on board ship. ;)

This album was included as a bonus disc in the physical release of that anniversary album, XXV. However, when released virtually we kept just the first disc as XXV and made the second disc it's own standalone album, called Shantytime.
