Description
The second of two songs released on a promotional Christmas cd single by Tulsa's country rock band The Tractors in 1992 was "Swingin' Home For Christmas." It was written by the band's vocalist Steve Ripley and features their keyboard player Walt Richmond. Ripley used to be Leon Russell's sound engineer and invented the Ripley stereo guitar, and toured with Bob Dylan as a guitarist.
The other song was "The Santa Claus Boogie," which is on this YouTube channel. They are both on The Tractors 1995 cd Have Yourself A Tractors Christmas, recorded at The Church Studio with Ripley and Richmond co-producing, which was owned by Ripley, and originally owned by Leon Russell, who purchased it in 1972. It is now owned by Teresa Knox and has been renovated into a state-of-the-art recording studio with a museum, bar and an outdoor patio for entertainment.
