Today is Rainbow Bridge Day. My dear Mommy Cat crossed over last August 1. She had been living with ear cancer for quite a while, and it was just time to end her suffering. I had long written "Beyond The Rainbow Bridge" because I feel so much for everyone who has lost a pet, especially those who have had to make the hard decision of putting them down. Well, life imitated art this time, as I found myself having to go through the same experience for the first time in my life. Few things are harder than putting a pet down. I'm glad I managed to pull through. I miss Mommy Cat. She was a good cat, my very first cat, and I'm grateful to have had the pleasure of looking after her during her senior years. She is in a much better place now, hopefully having a blast beyond the rainbow bridge.
